Mr. Sullivan is the Managing Principal Engineer for all Sullivan Design Group projects.  He also provides grant application assistance and direct oversight of all phases of SDG projects, including the preparation of Preliminary Engineering Reports.  He is a civil engineering graduate of Georgia Tech (BCE) and Stanford University (MSCE), Engineering-Economics Option (EEO).  He has 50 years of planning, design and construction program management experience in the U.S., as well as overseas as a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Mr. Sullivan has been employed by Sullivan Design Group, Inc. for 39 years, and has been its President for 37 years. 

   In 2009 the American Society of Civil Engineers selected Mr. Sullivan as the recipient of its national Civil Government Award.  Mr. Sullivan has served on the New Mexico Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors, and is a past President of the New Mexico Society of Professional Engineers.   

Mr. Sullivan is recognized in Who's Who in Engineering (American Association of Engineering Societies) and Who's Who in the West. He has also received the National Society of Professional Engineers - Professional Engineers in Private Practice (PEPP) Merit Award.  He served 8 years as a Santa Fe County Commissioner (2001-08) and currently serves as a Governing Board Member of Santa Fe Community College.

Mr. Williams holds a B.S. of Civil Engineering degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and has 45 years of civil engineering experience, including 32 years with Sullivan Design Group.

Mr. Williams recent projects include arsenic reduction Preliminary Engineering Reports for Bluewater Water and Sanitation District and Nambe Pueblo; an 800,000 gallon water storage tank ($696,000), the North Heights water main upgrading ($1.15 million) plus partnering with CH2M-Hill on a new $4.3 million water treatment plant - all located in the City of Bloomfield.  Other recent projects include Agua Fria's water system upgrades (2 phases for $875,000), Thoreau's well #4, $1.7 million in water and sewer improvements for the Pojoaque Valley Schools, the Village of Questa water main upgrades and highway bores, a new well, water tank and mains in Cundiyo, a new tank, water mains and controls in Upper Canoncito and numerous other water, wastewater, roads and drainage infrastructure projects.

Mr. Neal provides construction field services for Sullivan Design Group as Resident Project Representative (RPR).  In addition to RPR assignments, Mr. Neal is experienced in preparing Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and cost of service studies.  AMPs and rate evaluations have recently been completed for the Rainsville Water & Sanitation District in Mora County, NM and the Bluewater Water & Sanitation District in western NM.

Mr. Neal has a total of 42+ years of experience.  He is a retired military officer (Corps of Engineers - 20 years), 10 years designing and managing military petroleum and water pipelines, 5 years in facility management, and 5 years in aerial photogrammetry. In addition, he was employed at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 22 years as a customer liaison for the Engineering Division for 2 years and as a computer systems analyst/programmer for 20 years.  His education includes a BS degree from the University of the State of New York and graduate level courses from the University of New Mexico in computer programming and business management.

Mr. Steiner has 35 years of technical experience, including 17 years with Sullivan Design Group.  He has also been an instructor in mechanical engineering design and drafting at Northern New Mexico College for 15 years, and an Associate Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers since 1994.  He studied at Temple University for one year and received an Associate in Specialized Technology Degree from Pennco Technical Institute in Bristol, PA in 1996.  Since 1972 he has also taught the Art of Karate privately and at various educational institutions.

In addition to in-house civil and environmental engineering capabilities, Sullivan Design Group maintains regular professional relationships with area consultants in the fields of electrical engineering, structural engineering, architecture and environmental documentation.  These firms join our Project Team, as necessary, depending on the nature of the project assignment.
